Styles Of Women's Shoes

Women's shoe styles vary greatly. They offer a variety of choices when it comes to the types to wear and the outfits that they go with. There are many variations of each type of shoe too, combining one style with another. The styles of women's shoes include: Ankle strap shoes that have either single or multiple straps that go around the ankles. These can be made from lace, ribbon, leather, buckles or anything else. The straps can wrap strictly around the ankles or also go up the leg too. Ballet flats are a rounded toe shoe that looks similar to a ballet slipper. These usually are slip in shoes that have no lases and are flat soled too. Many of these now come with gems, beads, flowers, fringes and more on them so that they can be worn any time of day and with any outfit. Flatform shoes are a combination of a ballet flat and a platform shoe. They are flat slip ons that have a platform heel on them. French heels have a curved heel and they have medium height to them. Kitten heels have a thin heel that tapers and these are never more than an inch and a half in height. The heel is not at the back of the shoe, but instead is set inwards a little more. Mary Janes have a round toe and either are flat or have a slight heel on them. There is either one or two straps that go across the foot. Mules slip on and have a rounded toe with no heel cover or strap in the back. They are open in the back. Pumps have a low cut to them and slip onto the feet. They usually have a slight heel to them. Peep toe shoes have an opening at the toes that is not very large and slip onto the feet. These can have heels on them or wedges too. Platforms have very thick soles that are very chunky. Both the part under the foot and the heel are thick. However, the heel can also be a stiletto or wedge as well. Sandals are open shoes that have straps over the feet and toes or there are straps that go around the toes. Sandals can have low heels, wedges and even be flip flop style shoes too. Sling back shoes are rounded in the front like a mule, but there is a strap that goes across the back of the heel. These can also be flat or have heels on them too. Stacked heels are layered heels made of wood that create wedges, flat heels or high heels out of them. Stiletto heels are also called spiked heels many times and these are thin, narrow heels that are no less than 3 inches in height and can go as high as 6 inches or more in height. T-Bar shoes are similar to a Mary Jane in style, except that instead of strap going across the foot only, there is another one that goes up the foot too. Wedge heels are heels that have a wedge shape to them. The back of the shoe is higher with the wedge and thins as it goes to the front of the foot. These come in a range of heights, the wedge can be low, as well as very high too. Women's dress shoes and other types of women's shoes come in so many styles and choices, that I love my shoes.
